Kentucky Horse Park Campground
One of America's finest resort campgrounds, the Kentucky Horse Park Campground, has 260 campsites with electrical and water hookups, paved pads, fire rings, and picnic tables. A full-service facility, the campground has a grocery store and gift shop, two bathhouses with modern conveniences, laundromats, and two dump stations. Planned recreational activities, lighted tennis and basketball courts, a swimming pool, playgrounds, games of horseshoes and croquet, and square-dancing in the recreation pavilion are just a few of the recreation choices. Several rental facilities including a group pavilion and a lounge are available for group events.
Book Camping
Spectators, vendors, and competitors should not wait until the last minute to book their accommodations. October is a busy time in Lexington not only with Keeneland racing, there are frequently other major events taking place at the University of Kentucky or elsewhere in town that put pressure on hotel room inventory. The Kentucky Horse Park campground will sell out early. We recommend that attendees consider using sites like HomeAway or AirBnB and also look at towns such as Georgetown, Midway, Versailles, and Paris for further lodging options outside of Lexington that are still relatively close to the Horse Park.
Horse Country Tours
Horse Country is an organization of thoroughbred stud farms, nurseries, clinics, a feed mill, and aftercare facilities united for the purpose of fan development and tourism experiences. At one of our twenty-five touring locations, guests can learn about the operations and day to day life of the people and athletes of the equine industry.
Touring since 2015, our locations have opened their gates to welcome fans and future fans to the equine lifestyle, the thoroughbred operations, and the magic of horseracing. These experiences are set against the backdrop of the rollings hills of the bluegrass - iconic land that is as aesthetically engaging as it is fruitful for our signature industries: raising horses and distilling bourbon. Immersive and memorable, you can’t get more “local” or “authentic” than this!
Horse Country offers a 20% discount to RRP Members for regular tours. (Offer excludes "unique experiences.")
